T'was a dark, gloomy winter's afternoon in the bush. The wind had picked up along the Doc track. It had started to rain, at first whisps, then heavier. Crappy weather. Good. Nearing our favorite stretch, Kai slowed down, windicating up the track. I looked at the raging trees on the side of the track ahead The hind was feeding 7 metres way from us, completely oblivious to our presence. Rainy days... just say'n

You were not*out last night. Lotsa mist to contend with and humidity was saturated.

    Greetings All,
A bit off topic but with Tahr's news here goes. I was up at the hospital this afternoon visiting a friend who has recently had a stroke. He is 10 years or so younger than I and is extra fit so the stroke was a surprise. He was also an early adopter of the long range hunting style. Back at home I was told that there had been a crash in Hastings. Two people on a motorbike had canned of and skittled a pedestrian on the footpath, the same footpath I had walked down not 15 minutes before. Two serious and one critical. They likely all wound up in the Emergency Department carpark. If I was a superstitious person I would be scared to outside.
    GPM.

Just get out there Neil. I was up Kuri Hill and Kiwi saddle last weekend. The weather was better than expected but still windy. The japs don't like the wind much but the guts and gullies were much calmer. Picked up a hind on the way out only an hour from the carpark.

Trout and Bad Weather like this.
The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds

Well I would think there'd be too much commotion, what with all that frolicking in the water, slapping on sun tan lotion and hordes of screaming brats.....
