Thread: Ideas for a salt lick?

I'm looking to plant a salt lick on a clearing. I've never made one so open to ideas on how to make one that won't get washed away by the rain.

The best idea I've been able to come up with is a warratah with some kind of hat on it, but no details on what the hat is or how it's attached. Lol. The local seed store sells large chunks of Himalayan rock salt.

What's the wisdom? There's plenty of practical geniuses on here. Time to prove it.
