    if you use a belt sander just watch you don't overheat the edge . dip it in water after each swipe . if its too hot to touch, its too hot .

    Ive got a water stone, 1000 one side 3000 the other, bout a hundred bucks but is the bizzo. Time taken on the stone pays off in the field.

    Norton stone two sided job that I use for work to sharpen plane blade chisels etc.....would love a lansky tho used a bigger version out at the freezing works......amazing results with this type of sharpener....hate those ez sharp things with tungsten blade fuckers cant understand how or why people use em.......would love a jewel stick or diamond stone but am too poor and too tight to buy one..........(gotta buy a pair of boots first)

    Norton do a nice double sided diamond stone now. Good size too for a reasonable price.
