    Marlborough sounds reserve

    Anyone know these areas around Lochmara Bay Area?Are there deer in there?cheers

    Firing up stags last year from the boat so there are definitely deer there.
    Never hunted it myself

    Trap And Trigger outfit were meant to have covered these areas with chopper/thermal/shooting and ground shooting folllow-up when they did a ruminant animal cull from Ship Cove back to there in the past year. Think they finished their second pass through just before Christmas. They will have missed the odd one though. They covers northern side of Queen Charlotte sound and Kihikatea Bay Area.

    There were heaps of deer pre cull they got most but many remain find bush edge if you know what I mean

    They shot a huge amount of animals out of that area in June/July and then hit it again in September. There will still be deer in there though.
