    Mounting Go Pro on gun

    Hey guys and gals,

Keen to know how you all mount ya go pro on your rifles....thinking about capturing some bush hunting footage (and short long range)and want ideas on mounting before i dive in....would prefer on rifle as opposed to head etc.

    Pics be great.

I know one way not to do it. I took a young fellow tahr hunting. He zeroed his 270 with me and I was very pleased with his shooting. Anyhoo we were hunting in the passing rain, so heads down a bit - maybe I wasnt quite aware of things as I should have been. Spotted some Tahr, got into shooting position, boom - clean miss. Then a short while later sane thing. Asked young mate if he'd dropped his rifle or something . . . Gimmee a look . . . WTF is that strapped to your muzzle . . . "Just my gopro" Got rid of it and the next Tahr we saw hit the deck.

I mess around with GoPros a bit, but not on rifles. Scope or barrel mounted, upside down for the latter would be obvious choice that wouldn't require any drilling or glueing. Barrel mounted might affect harmonics.

Here's a GoPro branded option. Cheaper options on on AliExpress of course.

Could be good for bush work. Anything longer distance and you wouldn't see much.

Most people wear them on their head, I have a pack mount for my pack strap as I use a DJI Action cam instead of a GoPro they are the same mounting. I get all mine from AliExpress
