    My First Deer !!!


    Taken My First Deer tonight, only a small fellow but its my first !!! at 930pm with 223 and spot light mounted on scope on our property.
    Was after a larger one that was behind, but this one crossed in front of the bigger one at 80m just as I squeezed off the shot.
    It took it in the front leg which made the bigger one run through the fence and into the bush never to be seen again.
    The smaller one just stood there so I put one through its chest, put it down and out.
    Dressing was ok, sort of like doing a sheep, except with a gaping hole in its chest.
    Will have to go out again some time and aim a little higher next time

    Yep you got that right, just wasn't the one that I had taken aim at, but small one or big one doesn't matter, now have some venison for the fridge
