Nelson Lakes getting the Green rain over 33000ha in July...better get into it.

DOC is about to drop 1080 over a good part of the Nelson lakes in the next two months(33000)
Prob a good idea to plan a trip for a deer soon before its done. Of cause its to save the kea but we know its prob the end of 60% of them now ,

They shut the country down sending thousands of people broke and putting NZ well in the red over a flue but yet they still want to spend millions more of tax payers dollars on poisoning our land and killing everything on it.

Was visiting the South Island last year for a look around, awesome, and speaking to a fellow hunter, he asked about deer being shot from choppers in NSW, I confirmed it was going on and he replied "Kiwi's would say those animals were a resource." Yep I agree but "experts" seem to want to kill to waste. Sad.

It's weird that there is no mention of the planned drops on the DoC website.

Not really. I know for certain the least infor DOC can put out about such drops is what they do so theres little time for anyone to ,make any noise about it.
Im not normally a big fan of some of theses anti 1080 pages you see on facebook as some are extreme with there facts but Carol Sawyer page is worth getting updates on
as its always posting the most updated infor on the next drop, the maps, where, when etc which you wont find on any DOC website until its too late.

Yes, i have heard in a year or two the rest of the lakes will be getting the posion rain also in the winter where people numbers are at its lowest.
The Lakes will never be the same again.
