    On the eastern side, there are a number of places they are already low. Stay out of any of the bigger streams in your 4wd, unless you have a driver that understands how Southern Alpine river systems work. Pay attn to the weather forecast and understand what it means to you and your area. It is already warmer than it should be in the mountains and the melt will be early this year.
