    Preffered round for 300 win mag

    Interested in people's go to factory round for their 300 win mag.

    have 2 boxes of these ready to go, tick all the right boxes for factory ammo - amazing bc aswell yet to drop any animals sadly waiting for farm to move some stock
    did alot of reading some of the american reviews and tick all the right boxes but yet to find out

    I use the sako 165 grain . Been real good to me . Sako ammo comes in boxes of ten too .

    Mate of mine in USA bought a new 300 Win Mag ( custom rifle ) ans several differnt brands of factory amm to see which shot best. All apart from Norma bond strike were only average at best. Can't remember if he used 165 od 180 gn Bondstrike but it shot cloverleaf groups at 100 yds.
    FWIW originally the 300 Win Mag cartridge was developed around a 180 gn bullet and, I think, 1:10 twist rate.

    Hornady precision hunter can be good in some guns. Quite pricey nowdays

    No luck with the Normas locally. Grabbed some Sako 165s and 200 ELDx. 165s shot nicely so will run with that for now. Cheers

    Hells canyon xbolt,1 inch group at 400yds using Hornady superformance 180gr SSTs.Deadly accurate ammo out of a 26in barrel.

    Holy shit mate, be able to hit them in the eye at that distance. Do love my hc long range, just needs a bit of work on the trigger.

    Anything Copper - Barnes Tsx , ttsx , Hornady CX , sako powerblade... Sako load the barnes in tgeir powerhead and poqergesd II loads - 180gr
