The problem is Raukumara's is basically land locked and the location its costly for hunters to fly in. So deer numbers have exploded and not just reds. Am not a fan of 1080 but what other options are out there.
I am sure they have just done a search and destroy in there?
I know a farm the boundaries southern Raukumara's that have shot 1500 deer in 12 months and still not on top of the problem.

Holy shit that's scary if that many dead isn't on top of the problem. Must be a shit tonne chewing up their paddocks
