I also carry a bicycle pump for the tyres just in case (have used it twice on mates Quads so far).

Can you give details of the winch please?

It was a Trade Me Special.

    3000lb winch.

Make sure you get one with a Fairlead included because you'll need it.

TradeMe.co.nz - winch 12v for sale, New Zealand

No, it was free with this model, I wouldn't buy one, waste of time, I've moved a few trees with the winch but never used to get unstuck.
Wanted to use it once but couldn't get at it........

There's plenty of public land in NZ that you can use a quad on.

My jimny is about 100mm wider than a rhino, it just doesnt drive around gates like quads do. And it has no puf puf sound the quads make!

Best mod for ya quad..a nuce soft seat on the back for the boys @Damz

As an aside, I have a redundant removable rack suitable for a Suzuki Vinson. It clips under one cross tube and you tie it down with rubber strips. The padded top is a good rest for shooting over and you can fit two ammo boxes in the box. Professionally made and powder coated to match orig bike rack. Cost me over $150 but someone can have it for $50
