    What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
    Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
    Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
    Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
    Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
    Rule 5: Check your firing zone
    Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
    Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms

    My mistake, I should have been clearer.

    I want to go rabbit shooting in the Tauranga area, I don't have any land to shoot on. I do have a rifle.

    Yeah man I've got acres and heaps of rabbits hanging around, how many do you want to shoot?

    Maybe go to the introduction section . Introduce yourself there, make a few contributing posts and share your knowledge with the forum. Then once you have met a few people and they see you as a like minded individual , they may invite you to shoot with them.

    Hi @EI P as @johnd has said guys round here like a bit of an introduction about yourself and your interests.
    Once the formalities are done then you can ask and see how you get on from there....
