Both diy and shop bought seem to be a much discussed topic around the Internet.
As a newbie hunter I thought it a legitimate question to ask what you guys do in terms of this.
Thanks to forum members input I've learned that I'm wasting my time.
But hey baking soda is cheap and does absorb oders. Now I know better I won't bother anymore.

I'm always trying to hunt into the wind but fact is sometimes you will get a gust of wind from behind.

I'll probably ask many more stupid questions but I make no apologies.
I want to learn as much as I can from these forums.
Hopefully one day I can pass on what learn.
Sorry mate I wasn't meaning to belittle you.
I should have put more thought into reply .
Listen what I was meaning is don't put so much time into getting rid of your scent if u are going to be stalking.
While walking you are going to sweat.
If you sweat you stink no matter what you wear or put on to mask it.
The Yanks sell lots of this junk but if you look into it while a lot of guys do bush hunt there is a big number that sit up in tree stands or blinds all day and there may be hunters dotted around in same area in large numbers and they will cover themselves with all sorts of crap.
For sure don't put your fav body spray on before hunting and don't go walking thru your prime spots and leave scent everywhere.
Try to get to know a area that has deer sign .
sometimes you have to pull up when seeing a deer or a heap of sign and make a plan to come back when wind is right, right time of day or come at it from a different direction to get a better look in from afar.
    Study topo map of area.
    Thanks
    Love walking my gun
