    Show us your first deer!

I'd love to see everyones first and or best deer or any big game trophy.

Here's my first deer I shot when I was 12. He smashed off his tops on one side late in velvet and they grew into a ball and he broke a bez off at around 3 inches in the rut but I wouldnt change the old boy for anything. He was aged at 12 years and theres a bit of a story to him but I was stoked at getting a wise old bloke like him. Also has a couple of basal snags just to set him off!

Unfortunately lost the pics of him in the bush when I shot him which I'm still shattered about

She loves the free fresh wind in her hair; Life without care. She's broke but it's oke; that's why the lady is a tramp.

Not sure how old I was at the time I think 12-13. I just took 2 shots first one at about 80m and second when it stopped running at about 200m with a .308 and missed both, Second biggest stag I have seen to this day, anyway I was pretty sad and we were riding the bike back and I saw these yearlings running through the bush and I jumped off the bike while it was still moving pulled a shot out of my pocket sliped it in the chamber and let rip on it while it was running about 50m away. I was pretty stoked with it.

I can just see you leaping off a bike with a rifle in one hand and a bullet in the other Toby.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.

This is my first deer, shot it on my own after almost a year of trying, was over the moon, couldn't believe it after I had shot it.

Lovely jap LukeS - hope you mounted him!

Love it Dougie - really like the skull mounts

Two shot - Got him in Aus here, there are decent ones but not a lot of big stuff comes out of this way - all wild liberations. In NSW where there were no wild liberations but they've been let out or escaped from farms and they are producing monsters. Queensland is where the highest densities are found but there isnt a lot of huge stuff either. NSW and SA produce the good stuff because they're all pen let outs bred specifically for the genes to be huge
