Ir would help immensely if DoC had a better attitude to access issues. For example; many more allowed helipad sites; perhaps even cutting some of their poison budget and transferring said funds into quad tracks and hunter access roads. These measures would create greater recreational hunter pressure with a corresponding reduction in deer numbers; as Cam alluded to using Clements road as an example. DoC are being remiss in these respects IMO.
