Good options for food to eat. Plenty of unnecessary items to buy if you have the money

It’s a Sika show not the field days, you can hardly expect to be walking around for 6 hours. And at the risk of sounding like a labour supporter does drinking grog (there was a couple of stands selling spirits) at a gun and hunting show really look great?
It's one thing to have a couple of beers and chat with mates it's another thing to get plastered and act a fool. If you can have 2 beers and still drive home or even in this country it's not illegal to have a beer while you drive I don't see what's so bad about having a beer at a show like this . Your not using the firearms like at a range where I would suggest not drinking until after the range is closed but I really can't see anything wrong with having a beer or two catching up with mates at an event like this .

some people just cant help themselves while others are fine. Not worth the ball ache.....People are anti guns as it is why mix alcohol into the equation. Just go to a pub near buy the beer will taste the same.

@phil243 it’s the PC world we now live in, the weekends we had in Taupo were really great. The shows were great, the exhibits awesome.
I don’t know about this year, I didn’t attend, but last years show was, to my mind, controlled by the police. Compared to Taupo, it had changed dramatically, it’s amazing how Tarrant changed our world

Yea I can't agree more . Last year I went and said I wasn't going to go back but I did go back and this year was much better . The world is very PC now . It's a real shame. The few keep ruining things for the many. In saying it was much better I still think it was better at taupo.

You're just grumpy because you can't just hop over from Kinloch.
And if you went to Hamilton and bought a couple of beers it would have cost you more than you would have spent on diesel (when you consider how much those pansey beers you drink cost in a bar).

I probably wouldn’t have had a beer, but who the Wally that decides? I’m sure to Good George would have turned up and run a great beer tent as per the Field days?

I agree with you Phil. But unfortunately there’s often some people who take things too far as Blip mentioned. All it would take is for the attending Police to lock someone up and it make the media and then we all look bad.
