Someone to initiate (show & teach) a hunter in the North Island on April

    Hello,

My name it's Codrut DAVID and I'll come in New Zealand (Auckland) on April 5th for 10 days.

This it's a vacation and my plan it's to have also some hunting action (on the paradise of fishing & hunting).

Last year I was hunting for the first time (2 ducks and a pheasant), so not too much experience.

If anybody think to make an hunting on that period and like to have one partner for this (maybe to initiate) please let me know.

    Thank you,
    Cod

P.S. I'm 27 years old, living in Thailand but I'm from Romania. I have a Romanian gun license and I did not have the rifle with me.

    Hi there,

    Welcome to the forum.
Please note that April is in the middle of the roar (rut) here in New Zealand, so be aware that many hunters have already made plans and it will be busy, with more hunters out hunting than any other time.
I recommend adding some more info about how experienced you are with firearms, stories of your previous trip, ideally with photos of you, and possibly an offer of an exchange hunt back in Romania/or Thai fishing trip. As that will get you more responses.

You still have a bit of time to contribute to the forum, so feel free to chat, ask questions etc and that will help with the likelihood of help being more forthcoming.

PS. I have taken tourists out, from random requests/phone calls, but now have other time commitments.
For example, here is a story of mine from another forum (where it would pay to ask the same question, but noting my suggestions above) back in 2009.

FishnHunt - New Zealands Famous Hunting and Fishing Forum Since 1995 - Damn no reds, but the tourist gets some trigger time.

All the best and we look forward to hearing more from you.

    Regards.

    Cheers.

The farm was in your neck of the woods, Piopio to be exact. But just been sold with handover due this month.
I'll miss having the op to bowl ducks, pheasants, turkeys, bunnies, hares, goats, pigs, magpies and deer all in the one spot.

I am on Troopers Road PioPio, we have Pheasants and the odd turkey, heaps of hares. Bugger that farm has sold. it is a real closed shop around here. takes about 10 years of living here before your regarded as local. and no one lets people on for a hunt around here.

I have some experienced with firearms, I did the army at paratroopers, and ther I learned about conventional and unconventional weapons.
For hunting last year (on December) I have bought a shotgun from Baikal MP27 IEC (12 Ga) (one trigger). And also some experience with a CZ 550 lux (30.06) - only on shooting range.

If here is someone who wants to hunt in Romania or to fishing in Danube Delta will be my pleasure to give all the necessary support.

Also for a fishing in Thailand.
