    Bavarian_Hunter have a look in the magazine under Notes for old Codger's page 3.
    Velocity is thrilling,but diameter does the real killing.

    Brother in-law has a habit of missing everything suffering from buck fever excitement. Managed to nail this 11 pointer on private yesterday after a hilarious season of roaring and calling him out of his bed to 215m.

    @dannyb
    Was daughter shooting the same load you used for the Red or did you have a reduced load just for her ? She looks quite young to be using a 7mm RM. Maybe Dad tutored her properly ?
    What bullet Danny ?
    Good stuff anyway. I approve of ladies getting into shooting / hunting.

    Same load, Sako 140gn blade (copper mono) the rem mag is a pussycat with the braked suppressor on it.
    Little miss (13 y/o) has been practicing with my suppressed 308win but in reality there is no difference recoil wise in both rifles, in fact I'd say the rem mag was slightly less recoil with with 140gn pills. Will qualify little miss has shot the rem mag at the range prior to this hunt and was comfortable shooting it.

    Late to the party this year but they are still roaring well in the tararuas.not a bad 12 bush battler but has a broken brow.pin pointed his location from a moan, stalked in saw hinds and hind called which worked well.he stuck his head through a gap and went to the light.
