    Thanks for the heads up!
Also had a bit of age on him. Coronets are low.
The sika characteristics are the pearling, and brows higher above coronet than reds and pointing outwards and ridging to the main beam, and the inner and outer tops configuration. He has all of that. He has a longer face than the typical sika.

He is definitely a trophy even if he is a hybrid.

Heads like that are sometimes once in a lifetime heads.
I'll talk to the guy who took us there and see what he can do!

Again, I appreciate the input on this guys. I've never shot anything anyone would consider worth keeping so I'm a bit in awe!

Very nice head mate. That's the type of 'pest control' I'd like to do!

Beaut 8 point Sika stag, not a hybrid, that will pass the withey point system with ease, ridging, brow position, overall shape, skull length looks good too.

    I hope @PushaV retrieves it.

Bring it to our NZDA annual head judging.

Went to retrieve it in the weekend - pig rooting all around and only non-sentimental pieces of deer left over. Either pig destroyed it or someone else picked it up!

A few more kilos of meat in the freezer as consolation.
