sometimes showing support for a club isn't that easy , take the nzda for example Id happily put my name down & pay a fee to go towards fighting this stuff but last I checked to become a member you needed to go to 4 meetings & be nominated . . . .

That sounds like the Gore Branch of the NZDA - attendance at 4 of their events to be eligible to get into the ballot for Glenaray Station. You can still join up and participate as much as your time or inclination permits.
