Tahr Returns APP and Tahr hunting

Being a die hard hunter I’ve been asked a lots from different people about my thoughts on the Government NZ Tahr extinction program and my answers are no different to everyone here on this forum.

But is anybody using this Tahr Returns APP? as I’ve only just seen this today.

Looking at getting some Tahr meat in a couple of days before the choppers exterminate them all and fill the waterways with corpses. I still think if the choppers can shoot them they can retrieve them and use the meat like they do with the deer. If us the TAX payer is funding the choppers and ammo they can cut down the flying time and fund the processing of the meat and feed the poor, give it to food bank etc.

There used to be a very good market for WARO Thar carcases, it is because of that the numbers got so low. An annual take for export or local consumption would be sensible.
So we have the Greens complaining about the impact of farming on the environment but happy to have good meat left to rot on the hill, meat that if recovered would reduce the demand for farmed meat by an equivalent amount and therefore be of benefit to the environment

Quite frankly they (DOC) have got a nerve to be asking hunters to further destroy our prized Tahr herd, they don't listen to our concerns so I for one wouldn't be shooting nannies if I was hunting them regularly.
