good stuff to know it is important to label my nephew never got his skin

Thanks for the mention, I can certainly tan but I am not set up for flat skins at the moment (need a tumbler for breaking them to make them soft, this can be done by hand though)

Ther are down south but did have a drop point up Christchurch way which you could ask them about. They have excellent service and probably the fastest turn around

Barry Ryan in West Melton would be another option but he is flat out and long lead time

These comments got me wondering. Got my Tahr skin done way back on the original thread, but the skin I got back is a hell of a lot smaller than the one I sent. I know they can shrink but got me wondering for sure.

You can use a sheep or cattle ear tag to tagg your skins but depending on the Tannerys fleashing and thinging process will determine if they have to remove them or not
