Tenure Review could mean lack of access.

Hunters. Please create a submission immediately, as Submissions opened in October and close December 23rd.
Godley Peaks Station Tenure review is happening. They want a land swap with DOC which would effectively stop access to Prime Tahr hunting zone on the Crown Land behind the station. The only access would be driving 16kms up the Godley river and coming in at Rankin Hut, or a walking only access up the Mistake River from Cass river bridge. Don't be fooled by the proposed "land swap" to the Crown - the proposal from the station will lock up the prime Tahr Crown land on the tops to Aerially Assisted Trophy Hunting guides while gifting the station prime river flats along the Godley. If you could please read the attached proposal and consider making a submission. In particular, you should state the following:
    1. You are opposed to the land swap and gifting the area noted as CC1 to the station as this will close out public access to the main streambeds from Crown area CA1 to the Godley Riverbed.
    2. You are opposed to Access across station land being prohibited via road shown from point a to cass river bridge, and wish for this to remain public access.
    3. You would like public access to be ensured by easements on all streams from Crown area CA1 into the Godley riverbed.
    4. You would like 4x4 driving access from Cass river bridge via station tracks in route generally e to h.
Please ensure your reasons why you are opposed to this proposal in the tenure review e.g. loss of public hunting area, lack of 4x4 tracks create risk to safe access, shutting out public land to paid overseas hunting etc.
Link to proposal in the Tenure Review.
