I have thought about it, but to be honest I need to get my fitness back up before I go back to hiking in then out with a deer hopefully. That's why I'm looking at road ends just to get out and build back up before doing the missions in for a couple nights

I thought the road end was closed now? Or are we talking about a different road end?

I was thinking waipakihi road, or is that closed to the public? After the last spot I just went to where there was no sign at all I'm looking for some where different

Mangawhero camp site, walked up in to.the clearing and around the bush and little bit. Just trying to find somewhere they are then hopefully start taking some home

That 979 spot height is a good place to start, you should do well on first and last light there

Have you been there before? Did you just head in straight through the bush? I normally go to piropiro flats and go from there but due to 1080 will probably leave it till later in the year or early next year. So spending the time to find another spot

Still getting some roaring. Stags still coming in. Shot 1 yesterday and 2 today.
