Have people given up hunting the area?...the number of vehicles at the road end is noticeable by their absence, I guess the state of the track puts a lot of quads and two wheelers off venturing up it and pretty much only dedicated 4x4's are trying it out but the foot sloggers seem to have gone elsewhere...a lot of deer were taken from the area over the winter, although some I seen taken were a bit on the lean side but with all the grass about they should be as "fat as pigs" now.

Bloody rugged up there at the moment due to 13 slips a few years ago and not cleared by council...there is some good forestry tracks that would suit you but access is dependent on knowing the right people.Quote:
