I use a Samsung wb2200f, it's a bit bulkier than the likes of the sx50 but has quite a few more features and in theory can take pretty damn good photos if you can get your head around not just using it on "auto" all the time, has a decent screen anyhow but has Bluetooth and Wi-Fi to connect to iPad etc so can review photos and video when back at the tent for the night, can also set it up and connect to iPad/phone and control it with iPad/phone from a good distance away
