Would take to long if you were trying to decide to shoot or not etc

There is that issue but if your looking from a km away a minute or so won't add much to the walk time.... It's how I do it for my trail cameras, see if anything is there and decide to move it or not

This is filmed with a sx-50. The chamois I shoot at and miss is 400yds away and the zoom was probably 50-60x

I use a Samsung wb2200f, it's a bit bulkier than the likes of the sx50 but has quite a few more features and in theory can take pretty damn good photos if you can get your head around not just using it on "auto" all the time, has a decent screen anyhow but has Bluetooth and Wi-Fi to connect to iPad etc so can review photos and video when back at the tent for the night, can also set it up and connect to iPad/phone and control it with iPad/phone from a good distance away

I have the p900, brilliant bit of gear etc but still quite bulky to lug around the tops. But at the end of the day a spotter is a bulky item also and the camera is a lot cheaper than the spotter

Have a look at some of my latest vids. They're all filmed with an SX60hs. I really like them, mine has taken a beating and still keeps on going.

Have a bit of a look on youtube to find out how to use it properly and you'll get some nice results. They'll never be as good as a DLSR or expensive superzoom, but they're only a few hundred bucks!!

Ryan mantions wifi/bluetooth ... the canon also has this capability.

Hey Josh yeh your videos are what made me backtrack to the sx60 vs the p900. Only realised it was your account when I saw that awesome 10 you had got. I was going to flick you a pm.

sx60hs is like $430 at Noel Lemming. Just picked one up as seemed to cheap to miss, along with a tripod

Linked into phone so you can control zoom and take photos wirelessly

    Will try this weekend

First time out with the new camera

These are taken on auto setting and not photoshoppwd or played with at all. Seem decent enough to judge an animal

I have a Nikon P600 and like it. I use it for videoing on my hunting trips as well as photos. To see what its like look up backblocks hunting on youtube. All of the recent videos are taken with the Nikon.
