why are you calling and what calls are you doing?tell us more about this?id almost guarantee your calling is the problem here esp from a new hunter.a deer willl know exactly the spot to the metre you are in I reckon when you make a noise in their territory and they will likely come in from an angle that they can cut your scent hence the barking and spooking.
Stop calling and move in on them.
