I've heard that professional photographers use toilet paper to clean their $40,000.00 lenses. I mean...why not? Professionals are always budget conscious, and if cheap toilet paper is effective at cleaning lenses, without doing any damage, and at a significantly lower price than microfibre cleaning cloths...it's a no brainer!! Right? Right? Riiiiight?

Because it's got scratchy stuff in it.

Maybe because the companies making the lenses do not make and sell tissues? They do however make fancy cloths for the lenses for a lot more cost to you.

I don't think I have ever brought a fancy cloth. Every time you buy optics or glasses you get a free one. I have a pile of about 20 in my hunting gear that I use and then wash regularly.

But if wiping it with TP make you happy and you don't believe the great google then carry on.

The cost of the cloth is built into the overall price
