Mine is to try and finally earn my first deer and work my arse off as much as I can in the bush to do it. And to get rid of my fear of riding in a helicopter if I can pick up the guts to get in one.

How can you have a fear of riding in a helicopter if you haven't been in one? It is the ultimate way to get around. Safer than been a passenger in a car
Try a one way trip to the Boyd Hut (short flight) then walk back down to Oamaru Hut and back to Heli Sika. Tell the pilot of your concerns/fears and you will be hooked ;)
Struggling to find time for hunting this year. Off to Fiji next weekend for a week then in October down the SI on a tiki tour for 9 days. Throw in all the commitments at home and the year is almost over :oh noes: I have really missed hunting this year :(
My goal is to still be above ground sucking in air. Where in the Waikato are you Hunter308? Mohawk660 and I are heading bush to chase reds the weekend after this one and you would be welcome to join us. Could pick you up if you weren't too far of the beaten track. PM me if interested
Mine would be to leave the planned forum hunt in the same pysical condition I arrived:innocent:
Keep the 15 kgs I misplaced since xmas at bay.
But the most important thing to me is too help my son secure his first deer.
Oh and I spose buy a few more big boy toys.
Yeah I am in Te Awamutu thanks for the offer but will have to pass as I am hoping to get into the oamaru hut again in a couple of weeks which I have been looking forward to doing again also I have changed my ammo so the rifle needs to be sighted to the new ammo which I will not be able to get done before next weekend. Maybe another time but you and dean enjoy the weekend and hopefully we get to see a hunting report afterwards.
shoot my first deer or chamois.
I'd love to get out at least once a weekend in every fortnight (even if it is just a 'rece') and meet some likeminded people. I'd love to get a civi's perspective of the Kaimanawas (read: going where I want and not where I am told).
I'm hoping by Christmas I will come home for the first time with something other than a rabbit or hare :)
Shoot more and root more
Mine is to get out into the bush and have a dam good walk round
survive, 10" cham buck even 12" tahr bull.
