Thread: Where and how do you carry your knife while hunting?

After I lost my hunting knife at poronui mistakenly unclipped my knife belt instead of waist strap on my pack while getting ready to hop onto the back of the helisika ute, didn't realise I had dropped it on the ground until I got part way to oamaru hut I was lucky that i had my good skinning knife in my pack, so now my knives stay in my hunting bag till I have to use it so I know it ain't going to get dropped.
