Thread: Where and how do you carry your knife while hunting?

For rabbits etc I have a small knife in a sheath that carries in my front pocket but when after anything else I have one of my other knives on my hunting belt but situated just behind my hip so that it is not likely to be grabed by any scrub I push through. In a fall it is well away from the femoral artery as I heard of a hunter once who died from a knife cut in a fall where the knife was just in front of his hip bone.
I carry more than one knife when out and about with a rifle as the pocket knife I made is ALWAYS in my pocket with either my rabbit knifeor belt knife with a second in my day pack. Always make my sheath's as the deep pouch type so the possibility of losing them is much reduced.
