Good advice, what I take from that is a scope in the middle is just a compromise for both requirements of scoping. Also optics are pretty cheap these days. Sorry I didn't mean optics as in scope for glassing. Will end up with the usual nono and mono. Have a pretty good nikon bino already.
I'm very excited to start just exercising to get the fitness back up to base level. I have access to Bush so figure it's not a bad idea once a week to hike. Along with body weight interval training which gets that aerobic and anaerobic mix going.
The heavy slug is just something I've always had fond thoughts about. Also watching Anto on THClub using a 200 grain to great effect multiple times makes it seem a good one shot knock down. But plenty OK with 150 of course, after all if you can't get a good group the heavy slug ain't gonna help much. Speaking of which, I enjoy watching Hikock45 on YouTube using 12 gauge slugs on his targets, shooting long range at his gong they make such a sweet sound haha.
The goats hopefully will take pressure off for delivering deer meat and can enjoy the hunt from a sporting and recreation perspective, especially training and using an indicating dog I'm looking forward to.
