Thread: Whitetail Tips and Tricks

Hi all,
Heading into Stewart Island halfway through next year. Into North Tikotatahi and into Upper Lords at the same time. Any secret tips and tricks for hunting whitetail apart from sitting up a tree or just watching the broadleaf trees. Also any advice on those two hunting blocks from people that have been there?

One of the tactics we've found the most successful is to regularly just sit down and wait. Half of all the deer we've filmed and shot on the show have materialised from out of nowhere, usually just after or during smoko breaks. Makes you wonder how many you don't see just push off when they hear the distant sound of a hunter sneaking through crown fern.
