About LinkBacks.17's are pretty impressive, i love shooting mine and dont shoot the 22 at all anymore, but the bullets are pricey. Performance wise they blow the 22 out of the park but if your only shooting bunnies at 50m a 22 would be much more friendly on the wallet as the .17 is a bit overkill for close range.
Would definitely be getting a 22 for your first small rifle
