My Howa 1500 SA .223 , doesn’t really get out much anymore because my Tikka 6x45 ( 6mm223 ) is just better .

These guns are my favorites of the ones I own. I finally stretched the 26” out this year and it’s ridiculously easy at 600 yards. My longest kill with it is quite a bit farther than that. Gas gun killed at 320 and the 20” at 300ish for longest with each.

Yeah same, just a pity it's not a bit more durable.

My 223 is a REM Mod 7 which I have owned since the early 90’s, in the last couple of years I have put a Meopta 3x15x50. Love the scope has a luminated floating dot which is great on smaller game.Name: 0FBE3616-E945-4401-BF89-E183AC6C02C8.jpeg

I've owned around 10 .223s over the years.
Currently have these two. Although the Sako is never going anywhere.

I prepped n painted "old fugly" today, I wonder how many "New Denim Blue" T3's there are ? lol

Have two DPT's that are exactly the same apart from caliber so painted the SS baffle ND Blue as well, so can tell em apart.

I bought the 131g muzzle forward one for my .308 - to my uncalibrated ear it was the same or ever so slightly quieter than shooting through an overbarrel DPT with an extra baffle. Distance forward of the muzzle was close enough between the two it didn't matter, third of the weight was a no brainer.
