N560 is also worth a look in the AI. It spiked on me but I know it went well for others.

I quite like the idea of a 260 at some stage, seems very... efficient.

No doubt I will get totally different results but I know roughly what to expect.
Just upgrading because you want to or because the barrel is getting burned out?

My 260 as above has had well over 2000 rounds through the barrel now and is still out shooting me though my impression is it is not as good as it was several hundred rounds ago. It is getting a new barrel this winter once i get through a long range gong shoot in May.

    260rem vs 6.5x55

Just coz I want to. I want to wind the clock back to zero and just hunt with it.
Barrel is not shot out Gillie. I can also go to a longer barrel as it is unnoticeable in the actions that just blow up

You are more than welcome to it but you will have to buy a new rifle to use it.

You can have it Tony. Abe will fit it up for you if you decide to do one. I can leave it with him or send it over to you after he does mine if you have someone else in mind to do the work.
It is fluted and threaded and shoots very well. Never has any coppering and has only had coated projectiles fired thru it. Should be able to put another 1500 thru it easy.

I'm sure you won't be disappointed,
All those with dogs waiting no longer fear death. Those with many dogs waiting even welcome it in it's time.
