Greetings Csmiffy,
My old no 7 Speer manual has data for both the .300 H&H and the .308 Norma and they are two peas in a pod. Both would have considerable retro cred with the H&H perhaps a little more so it comes down to who, if anyone, has a reamer. A friend developed a burning desire for a .300 H&H years ago but had to settle for the .308 Norma for which a reamer was available. His rifle was built on a Parker Hale M98 action using a take off target barrel with a 1 in 14" twist. Shot well with the lighter projectiles. Rescuing old rifles from the scrap heap is a rewarding pastime as my rifle cupboard shows.
Regards Grandpamac.
