@7mmwsm it was a Pig in Lipstick
I had brass and 100 woodleigh 215 grain bullets in anticipation.
It came home last year as a part trade on something he wanted from me.
Once I had it home the laundry list of its problems became apparent.
It had been brutally knocked up and tightened
It didn't fall open when the top lever was across
The Greener third fastening had been poorly repaired and re broken
The bores were poor
The chambers were poor
It had been re blacked
The wood was re finished
The rear sight was not original
In short it was pretty but had clearly been shot to death and then tarted up.
I found it in the Auction Catalogs @Bent Barrel gave me.
So I know what the vendor paid for it.
I also found where he tried to re sell it at auction but it didn't reach its reserve
I did not test fire it
I gave it back asap
I learned a cheap lesson about when guys buy bad guns and that their ego makes them sell on the problem to someone else
I then went about finding a good double rifle.
And eventually brought my Greener 577-500 #2 which is in absolutely mint condition.
