You beat my by a nanosecond ha ha
1:10 is a fast twist for a 308W at any rate and will stabilise the 200 grainers (as per Berger calc) but yeah, why bother.

I read on here 7mmsaum was running 208 amaxs in his 308 doing 2600ft/s pretty good if you ask me. I run a 308 and 260 and love them both. Haven't had anything to do with the 6.5x55 though.
As mentioned, other way around, 1/10 is better in the .308 for heavier bullets. My Sako 85 .308 is 1/11 and shoots the 165gr around .5 MOA no problem. Some .308's are chambered in 1/12 and aren't the best with heavier pills but there's always the exception.
For what it's worth, only one hunter that I know of in my area uses a 6.5x55. I know of at least thirty who use a .308. Never noticed the recoil of a .308 shooting at an animal. Sighting in you can use a folded up beanie or similar behind the butt pad if recoil is a problem. Have installed a DPT can on my Sako .308 now for hearing protection more than anything. It's a pussy to shoot.
