    308 howa

bought a howa 308 last week ans it shot nice cloverleafs but since i upgraded the scope to a vx3 and put a suppressor on it it is stringing the shots verticaly in a 50mm line. I suspect i haven't done the action screws up correctly, they are tight but how tight should they be. Any suggestions, thanks.

Did you change the rings too? If you are still using the shitty nikko ones they come with it is very possibly the threads on them are stripped as the aluminium is so soft, happened to my one, changed to weaver grand slams and problem solved.

I used Araldite clear. Is a pity as I'm looking for a better scope but have no leeway with the rings. Still at least they don't move anymore.

Nah the missus is of the "Black and silver gun or the brown and black gun" school of thought. She'll have absolutely no idea about scopes.

Seriously if the gear is any good you don't need loctite or any bullshit glues Use good rings torqued correctly and there will be no bullshit. It will shoot straight or flick it You need to back yourself. If it's rubbish get rid of it

My Tikka was doing the vertical string after I messed with the action screws. They just needed the correct torque and all was good.

Expect a different poi without it on. Also look to see if the barrel is touching the stock, the rubber hogues can be bastards for this.

Could it be a bad threading job? Bullet touching the suppressor ?
