I used a set of 30mm to 1 inch reducers for another reason. On my Brno ZKW Hornet I didn't wish to remove the rear sight to mount the scope. 1 inch rings either were too low and the ocular would not clear the rear sight, or miles too high. I ended up using Warne QD 30mm rings and Brownell's reducers and the clearance between the scope and the rear sight is purrfect. The scope (yeah I know, it's only a Hornet) will never slip fwd. The delrin reducers grip the scope like shite on a boarding house blanket. Plus the reducers will not slip fwd in the rings as the reducers have a collar on them which you mount rearward up against the ring. I wouldn't use the Chinese ones though on a heavy recoiling rifle.
