    As well to worry about a criminal or a murderous 10 year old with a lathe and a drill press


    There have been a number of well made homebuilt machine guns found in gang hands in Australia in recent years, Luty type and MAC10 type amongst them, a jeweller in Sydney was making MAC10s for gangs for $15,000 apiece


    It's not that hard to make a gun.

    Probably only 200 bucks of raw materials and a couple hours work. Mill bolt and FCG parts, cut and bend flats, a bit of riveting/welding. One 9mm barrel blank would do about 6 guns

    Indeed, I meant that as a do it because you can, and its interesting, rather than a do it because its the best idea. Besides when it breaks you can just get a quality aluminium lower from brownells for $79.10
