About LinkBacksWell, I would take the M70 and set the 6.5x284 up for a long range rig, esp as you have a .260 and a saum by the sounds of things,
I Know lots guys like tikka, but I detest the small action port size, much rather a sako, M700 or M70 as easy to top load or single feed, and I rather a Winchester featherweight stock, over a tikka as the fit is better for me.
savage makes 6.5x284 in several of their nicer rifles.
