+1 to the SAUM, you won't regret that extra flat shooting horsepower on the hill...
Don't mention the .264WinMag... have been looking at one of them...

Going to do some more research while I waste away the next 4 weeks in the Indian Ocean...

    This one,
First Look: New 6.5-300 Weatherby Magnum Cartridge | Outdoor Life

would make a great long range short barreled suppressed lightweight bush pig ( typed with tongue firmly in cheek)

Seriously the SAUM will do what you want and reloading for a wildcat is not hard
All those with dogs waiting no longer fear death. Those with many dogs waiting even welcome it in it's time.

I know people dont want to hear the truth but what they want to hear, so sorry but you did ask.! I think you should of kept the 270 and sold the 300 and the 243. its perfect for your needs. If you were looking for an excuse to buy another gun, go hard and buy both

If you wanna go fast you are gonna pay somewhere. But you would be lucky to wear out a barrel on a rifle used ONLY for hunting unless you were hunting every weekend and shooting a poo load of goats as well

(must go faster, must go faster )

But it looks like you are paying EVERYWHERE with this one.

I'll invest the coin in better boots and walk a little closer. I love walking and above that being able to walk.
