7mm08 works fine with necked down .308 brass, if you can't find that then it really is the end of days!

I’m glad you started this thread. Often joked about, but you can’t really go past a 7mm08 as a do all kiwi hunting rifle. I’ve used a few but only ever owned one. This little Model 7, with a carbon fibre stock, DPT suppressor and a Nikon Scope.
Is killed everything I’ve ever pointed it at. I’ve never bothered reloading for it, as the factory 150 ELDX shoot so we’ll.

Shame the new 'Remington Arms' has decided not to continue making them...

    Don't sell it then!

    You'll sorely regret selling it!!

I'd like to add 3 more to my safe.

223, 260 and 308. The 223 will be the priority as I bloody miss having one after horse face features took my last 2

I’m fortunate enough to have the most current model7 SS in .223 with a 9 twist it is fantastic loves the 55 and 65sgk with 2206h I’d also love a .260 to shoot the 130 eldm sports a timney trigger and a dpt magnum mk11

Thought we could all post up some photos or even stories involving them,

Here's mine, a humble Remington 700 mountain rifle ss, purchased over 10 years ago, ran it no suppressor for approx the next 6, as didn't see the need for anything silly off the end. Then I decided to cut it to 18inch and suppress. Was one of the best things I've ever done in general. Tell you what, I asked all the animals I shot with it, and none of them came back and said I wish the barrel was longer!

I now reload for it, in the past have used, ppu 120gr hollow, deer season xp, hornady gmx superperformance, federal blue box, Remington coreloc and probably many others. All had similar results.

And here it is with my favourite animal to chase. Tahr from Baker creek, I have shot many animals with this rifle but this is one fond memory I'd like to share
