Thats bloody good mate. I know they are/can be very accurate. They will/should hold their accuracy for larger strings as well. But due to a number of reasons across the board a well set up bolt gun will beat a semi for precision. If autos were as accurate they would be used more for sniping due to rate of fire. Which is not a good thing for a sniper but there are times it would come in handy to surpress or halt forward movement at a cost of the snipers position.

They are becoming increasingly popular... the "AR10" style of rifles... US M110, Australian SR25, Brits use a 7.62 AR10 style rifle as well (LWRC?? I can't remember)

Why is accuracy all it's got going for it a bad thing when 90% of posts on here are about how accurate your rifle is?

Yep they are. But I dont know who in the Nato scheme uses them as the primary system for other than urban scenarios. 'Marksmen' is a role that gets confused with snipers, is a totally different asset.
They will employ them as a secondary in a sniper team tho. NZ has just adopted a new marksmen system in the AR platform I think.

I think its like most things all down to practice, IA etc can be done whilst in the shoulder, as for initial load and action if its really awkward try it with the butt more on the upper bicep, not ideal but still an option.
