My wife struggles with this also, to the point she doesn’t drive at night.

We found that illuminated etched reticles work for her and cause no issues. Although we found that out on a leupold CQ/T MK4

She now uses an ACOG, and absolutely loves it.

Maybe prism style optics will work for you, maybe an EO tech or similar.

For context I use an aimpoint Comp M2 mil which I absolutely love, and can get reliable hits out past 80m but she couldn’t use it past 20m if she tried, but put her behind the acog and she’s away laughing.
