    Bernard Actions Question

    G’Day Team,

Asking for a mate - no, really.

He was shooting an F Class practice at the weekend and blew a primer, which broke his extractor and damaged the bolt face. He tells me he is having dramas contacting Barnard to discuss a fix or replacement. Does anyone know what’s going on or where he might find a new bolt?

155 grain bullet at just over 3000 May have been a bit hot!

    Cheers

Over the past few years Barnard seem to have become very difficult to contact. At least that's my perception. Also their web site disappeared for ages but has reappeared.
Your mate could try to contact them via a website enquiry. No guarantee of course that they will reply.

Last time I bought a Barnard action (a few moons ago now) it ran around 1700 bucks, so buying a complete action will not be cheap, or most likely not necessary.
They sell bolts as I'm aware of guys purchasing them when needing to change to a magnum bolt face.

Well, good luck is all I can say. This might tell you something- if an official Barnard reseller here, and various members of the the national FO team can't get any response from Barnard, I wouldn't be holding my breath. A miracle might occur though. It's a real shame (in every sense) that such a good product has no support. I actually had an American FO shooter contact me in desperation for a basic part.

Where is your mate? If in Oz tell him to contact the Ox agent Mathew Paroz at LRP Solutions.

No spare repeaters sorry Kurt. Only a trued 40X.

We were hoping to see you out the range at some stage. You have potential

The CM shoots really well for a factory Remington but I'm ready to get a bit more serious again

Contact Tony at TenpointOne. He works directly with Barnard and will most probably be the only person that will be able to assist.
