    3-9x is a bit "old school" now as most manufactures use a bigger zoom range than 3x. Nothing wrong with them but 2-10x is also worth a look. Bushnell Elite 4200 2-10x is good for the money as are the Leupolds as others have mentioned.

    @Shearer, Potentially yes, i am a bit flexible, i more stated "3-9x40" as a ball park so people know roughly what i'm looking for
